Saudi Arabia: 15,000 medical foreign workers hold fake qualifications

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Gazette reported on 9 Jan 2010, that The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has barred 15,000 foreigners working in the health sector from practicing due to the incompetence in their work or holding forged qualifications. Hussein Al-Fureihi, the Secretary General of the Commission, said 1,093 workers had obtained employment with forged certificates. He further stated that most of the workers found in possession of fake qualifications had come from East Asia.
