COVENTRY, UK: Coventry Telegraph reported on 25 May 2010 that a medical student, Chiedza Mangwende, 25, was handed a six-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, and ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service on charges of using fake identity and visa documents. Her crime was uncovered when she used fake ID paperwork to scam the National Health Services (NHS) out of more than £12,000 ($17184) while she was completing a three-year diploma in Operation Theatre Practice at Coventry University. She pleaded guilty to possessing a false identity document with intent at Birmingham Crown Court.
